A cafe on the corner, under a brick gable and a red neon sign. High timber ceilings, a checkerboard floor, and a patio that stays warm after dark. Open every day until 10.
The room
The whole building opens above you: bare timber trusses running the length of the ceiling, track lights strung between them, and a mezzanine tucked over the back. It is the kind of ceiling you do not get in a new build.
Below it, deep crimson walls, gilt mirrors hung at an angle, an old carved bench, and a black and white checkerboard floor that runs from the door to the counter. Marble counter, pastry case, and a small framed card that reads a cup of balance.

A selection of what regulars come back for. Ask at the counter for the full board and whatever is on today.
Worth the fork
Berries, banana and cream on one plate. Four scoops of vanilla and chocolate sauce on the other. Both land on a gold tray and both are big enough to share, though nobody does.
Outside
Rattan bistro chairs, a hedge screen against the street, string lights overhead and gas heaters between the tables. It is a proper outdoor room rather than two chairs on the sidewalk, and it is the reason people stay past sunset.

A lovely place to sit with a good drink, study with my child, talk quietly and just relax for a while. I think the person serving is the owner, and they are so kind that it puts you in a good mood. The charcoal latte they recommended today had a lovely nutty flavor, and my child said the blueberry lemonade was delicious too.

Excellent service! 한인타운에서 편하고 좋은 써비스 받을수 있는 five star cafe입니다. 어제 애플 파이 시켰는데 warm up 잘 안됬다고 끝까지 신경써주시고 공짜 파이도 주시고 손님 한명 한명 신결써주시는 마음 감사했어요. 👍
Excellent service! This is a five star cafe where you can be comfortable and get genuinely good service in Koreatown. I ordered the apple pie yesterday, and when it did not warm up properly they kept fussing over it right to the end and gave me a pie on the house. You can tell they care about every single customer. Thank you.

자주 찾는 커피숍중에 한군데 입니다. 유자슬러시랑 케잌 맛있어요. 음악은 대부분 좋고 카페분위기랑 잘 맞아요.
One of the coffee shops I keep coming back to. The yuja slush and the cake are delicious. The music is mostly great and it suits the mood of the cafe.
